Introduction
Dashboard Hub is the Qinfinite product for building and publishing operational and business dashboards. It is delivered by the Omega Watch client and service, and it organizes work as hubs of dashboards, containers, and widgets.
What is Dashboard Hub?
Dashboard Hub is a widget-based dashboard configurator. Teams create domain hubs (Observability, Finance, Security, and more), author multi-container dashboards, bind widgets to data sources, and publish views to the people who need them.
Containment hierarchy:
Dashboard Hub
└── Dashboard
└── Widget Container
└── Widget
Access to a hub grants implicit read access to the dashboards, containers, and widgets inside it. Manage, publish, and export capabilities are controlled separately through IAM features.
Key Features
- Hub organization — Group dashboards by domain or team with icons, order, and metadata.
- Visual dashboard editor — Drag-and-drop containers and widgets on a responsive grid.
- Broad widget library — Metrics, charts, tables, filters, content, and nested containers.
- Flexible data sources — Mock/direct data, REST APIs, database queries, BizOps, and Service Catalogue.
- Refresh strategies — Polling, WebSocket push, or manual refresh with retry behavior.
- Publish and share — Publish dashboards and assign them to users independently of authoring rights.
- Personal layouts — Users can rearrange containers/widgets for their own preference layout.
- Microfrontend delivery — Runs inside the Qinfinite shell or standalone for development.
